For Ryan Scott, every aircraft transaction is more than a deal—it’s a chance to guide clients through one of the most significant decisions they’ll make.  As a founding member of Embraer’s Executive Jets Division, Ryan spent nearly 30 years shaping and selling some of aviation’s most successful aircraft.  Ryan now serves as jetAVIVA’s President and market leader for the Phenom 300 and Praetor series. His reputation as a straight-talking, relationship-driven advisor has made him a trusted voice in these high-demand markets.

While with Embraer, Ryan helped define the company’s business jet presence. He even co-named the Legacy aircraft series, and consistently ranked among Embraer’s top sales performers. “I loved being in the field, meeting people and making deals happen,” he recalled. “I never saw myself as a corporate guy sitting behind a desk –  I was energized by being out with clients.” By 2015, after initially resisting management, he was persuaded by Embraer’s CEO to lead a team of sales directors, bolstered by executive training both in Brazil and at the Wharton Leadership School.

Unlike many in aircraft sales, Ryan isn’t a pilot, and he sees that as an advantage. “Pilots often connect easily with other pilots, but the people writing the checks aren’t always flying the plane,” he explained. “My background allows me to connect with decision-makers on a business level while still respecting the pilot’s role.” That approach emphasizes listening over scripted pitches. “Most buyers already know the specs before they call us,” he said. “What they want is someone who listens, understands their goals and earns their trust.”

That mindset has defined his client relationships. He recalls one client who began a call with frustration, saying: “Let me tell you why I hate brokers.” Ryan listened instead of defending. By the end of the call, the client recognized Ryan’s genuinely caring approach and became a satisfied partner. Another time, a conversation almost entirely about baseball led to a brokerage agreement by the end of 15 minutes. For Ryan, those moments prove trust is the foundation of success.

Today, Ryan applies his depth of Embraer knowledge as a make/model specialist for jetAVIVA. “The Phenom 300 is the most delivered light jet in the world,” he said. “The Praetor series takes that same DNA into the midsize segment, offering unmatched capabilities for the price point.” With demand high and inventories tight, his expertise keeps clients ahead of opportunities that often move quickly.

Looking back, Ryan credits his success to a simple principle: aviation sales is about people. “At the end of the day, the jets sell themselves,” he said. “My goal is to understand who the client is, where they’re going and how this aircraft helps them get there.” With his track record, experience and deep product knowledge, Ryan Scott offers more than market expertise—he offers clients a partner dedicated to their long-term success.
