At jetAVIVA we take a certain degree of pride in the big personalities and varied interests of our team. Yet, there is one individual that stands out, even in our remarkable crowd: Sr. Gonzalo Quintana.

To call Gonzalo merely an adventurer would be an understatement. When he’s not selling airplanes you can find him camping, white-water kayaking, and traversing the globe with his wife and two kids visiting the “Wonders of the World” and chasing solar eclipses.

As a former athlete, Gonzalo qualified and was selected for the Mexican flatwater kayak team poised to compete in the 1984 Summer Olympics. Then, after spending time as a skydiver, Gonzalo was determined to find a career in aviation where he could be around airplanes every day, and in 1991 he sold his first jet: a brand-new Beechjet 400A. He now has over 30 years experience in the aviation industry, has transacted countless aircraft, and has had the opportunity to meet several industry icons. Along the wall of his home office you will find autographed photos of Gonzalo with Neil Armstrong, Chuck Yeager, and others.

These days, he says it’s becoming increasingly difficult keeping up with his equally-adventurous 20-year-old son and 23-year-old daughter, but that doesn’t stop him. Just as he has lived his life seeking adventures and opportunities, he goes above and beyond to make sure that his clients receive the full jetAVIVA experience when buying or selling their aircraft with him. Aside from Gonzalo’s native language of Spanish, he is also fluent in English and French. This expertise and skill make him the perfect jetAVIVA representative to Mexico and allow him to provide the highest level of service to any of our clients looking to import or export aircraft out of the country.
