Behind the Scenes at jetAVIVA: Mark Stear
Date
September 1, 2023Mark joined jetAVIVA in 2023 applying his experiences from a broad career in the executive jet market, most recently as Executive Director for Embraer Jet Operators Association. His turbine aircraft sales experience includes other brokerage assignments as well as regional sales management positions with leading manufacturers including Cessna Citation, Embraer, and Bombardier Learjet. At Cessna, he represented the popular Citation CJ product line. His background also includes similar positions at Embraer and Bombardier Learjet. Additionally, Mark has conducted over two dozen international acceptance and delivery projects. As a result, Mark possesses a unique perspective on the competitive differences of today’s leading executive jet programs.
During his time at the University of Cincinnati pursuing a degree in aerospace engineering, Mark had the privilege of studying under none other than former astronaut and professor, the late Neil Armstrong. Mark’s journey commenced as an engineer at Learjet, reveling in the intricate technical challenges the profession offered. He realized that his strong desire for interpersonal engagement coupled with his engineering experience provided him with a unique advantage to succeed in the sales arena of the executive jet market.
In addition to selling scores of new and used executive jets over more than two decades Mark has also had experience in selling charter and fractional ownership programs. He still enjoys a good technical challenge from time to time, and this perspective positions him well to represent his jet sales responsibilities at jetAVIVA. His experience and knowledge will provide his clients with a trusted advisor to guide them through their next acquisition, sale, acceptance, or consultation project.
Mark and his wife, Joan, recently celebrated their 45th year of marriage and are active members of their church. They are proud parents of two adult children and grandparents to two grandchildren, all residing in Cincinnati. Mark cherishes quality time with his family and enjoys traveling every chance he gets. He holds a private pilot’s license and occasionally takes pleasure in flying.
Mark is deeply interested in understanding individuals’ motivations behind acquiring an aircraft or making transitions to different ones. He is eager to establish strong relationships with the jetAVIVA team and customers, as he seeks to contribute meaningfully to the aviation community. Mark says, “I am excited to be working with other professionals who I know and respect, as well as making new acquaintances at jetAVIVA. I look forward to working with an organization with a great reputation, and getting back to being face to face with clients.”
