In the most recent jetAVIVA blog, Ben Dow compares the Falcon 900 series. Ben starts, “The Falcon 900 series has been around since 1984, and it has undergone a lot of changes and improvements over the years.” Read on to discover the unique features of each Falcon 900 model.

The original model in the series is the Falcon 900, and it has a range of 3,500 nautical miles (nm) and a normal cruise speed of 445 knots (kts). It can seat up to 14 passengers, with a standard seating configuration of 12 passengers. The Falcon 900 has a flat floor interior and a significantly larger cabin than its predecessor, the Falcon 50.

The Falcon 900B is a slightly updated version of the Falcon 900, with improved engine thrust and a slight increase in range. The physical characteristics of the 900B remain unchanged from the original Falcon 900, including the same cabin size and dimensions.

The Falcon 900C, introduced in 2000, is nearly identical to the 900B in all aspects, except for the engines and avionics, and a slight improvement in range.

The Falcon 900EX was introduced in 1995 and features a number of significant improvements over the original Falcon 900, including increased thrust and reduced fuel burn. The range of the Falcon 900EX was also increased by 500 nautical miles to 4,500 nm through more efficient engines and additional fuel storage.

The Falcon 900EX EASy, introduced in 2003, features an enhanced avionics suite and a number of other improvements to the flight deck. It has a range of 4,500 nm and a normal cruise speed of 470 kts.

The Falcon 900DX, introduced in 2005, has an increased range of 4,100 nm and features a number of interior improvements, including an updated cabin management system and noise-reducing measures.

Finally, the Falcon 900LX was introduced in 2010 and is the latest model in the Falcon 900 series. It features further improvements to its engines, including reduced emissions and improved fuel efficiency, resulting in an increased range of 4,750 nm. The Falcon 900LX also features updated avionics, including a synthetic vision system and improved connectivity options for passengers.

Check out the table below for a quick comparison of the various models in the Falcon 900 series:

Model Range (nm) Cruise Speed (kts) Engine Thrust (lbs)
Falcon 900 3,500 445 4,500
Falcon 900B 3,750 445 4,750
Falcon 900C 3,880 445 4,750
Falcon 900EX 4,500 470 5,000
Falcon 900DX 4,100 470 5,000
Falcon 900EX EASy 4,500 470 5,000
