Rene’s childhood dreams of becoming a fighter pilot were crushed at the age of 13 when he got his first pair of prescription glasses. Since he couldn’t fly them, he decided to design them. Armed with an Aerospace Engineering degree (and a black belt in Judo), he joined the Bombardier Challenger 300 design team straight out of school and saw it all the way through to certification.
Following stints with flight test teams at Eclipse Aviation and Diamond Aircraft, he returned to Bombardier in 2008 to sell the jets he once helped design.
Now, after several years meeting with current & future Learjet, Challenger and Global jet owners, he brings his talents to jetAVIVA as the market expert for Bombardier aircraft.
Top Gun is still his favorite movie.
