International Women’s Day at jetAVIVA

International Women’s Day at jetAVIVA

Date

March 8, 2021

On March 8, 1910 Raymonde de la Roche became the first licensed female pilot in the world, yet today, 111 years later, aviation remains a male-dominated industry. Here at jetAVIVA however, we celebrate the fact that females comprise nearly 50 percent of our company, and of the nine ladies on staff, five are either certificated pilots or are pursuing their pilots’ license. At jetAVIVA our female team members aren’t the standard minority, we are supported and encouraged by our male colleagues as equals. In honor of Women’s History month and to celebrate International Women’s day, we invite you to learn more about the women of jetAVIVA who are breaking barriers and shattering glass ceilings within our industry.

Emily Deaton – Chief Operating Officer – Emily joined the jetAVIVA team in 2019 after a successful tenure at Embraer Executive Jets. She is one of three women that comprise the Senior Leadership Team at jetAVIVA. Under Emily’s leadership jetAVIVA has continually seen record breaking growth in the past years. Emily is also one of very few females in an executive leadership position within the industry.

Kathy Oberbroeckling – VP of Finance and Human Resources – Kathy is another member of the jetAVIVA Senior Leadership Team, and single handedly manages both the company’s Finance and HR departments. Kathy’s fiscal leadership was instrumental in ensuring the success of the firm despite the challenges associated with COVID-19.

Brittany Kelso – Senior Manager of Transactions – Brittany joined the jetAVIVA team as the Senior Manager of Transactions in 2020, and she was a critical component to closing out the busiest fourth quarter in company history! She is an aviation enthusiast and one of seven pilots in her family. She is also the third female member of jetAVIVA’s Senior Leadership Team.

Denise Wilson – Sales Director – Denise is a seasoned jet pilot with over 9,000 hours of flight time and eight different type ratings. She is also an entrepreneur and was previously the President, CEO and Founder of Desert Jet, a group of aircraft charter, management, maintenance and FBO companies.

Jade Hofelt – Sales Director – Jade is a Purdue University Aviation program graduate, CFI/CFII/MEI and ATP rated in the Citation 525 Series jets. She is also a Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot and holds her tailwheel endorsement. Jade is a mother of two small children and was able to pilot a Cirrus to an aircraft closing last year while six months pregnant!

Kandi Spangler – Sales Director – Kandi is an Instrument-rated Private Pilot and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University alumni holding a degree in Aviation Business Administration. She has over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry having held roles in both sales and operations.

Laura Meyer – Sales Operations Specialist – jetAVIVA’s newest female addition to the team, joined us in January of 2021 after 5 years working for Embraer Executive Jets as a high-level executive admin and Marketing Administrator. She is the only woman on our sales operations team and she tracks some of our busiest and highest-producing markets!

Kelly Wolff – Marketing Specialist II – Brokerage Services – Kelly is a Wisconsin native and with an event like EAA Airventure located practically in your backyard, how could you not fall in love with aviation? Kelly graduated from UW Oshkosh with a degree in Marketing and has worked for jetAVIVA for the past 6 years. Kelly is directly responsible for bringing our listings to market and supporting the marketing needs of every jetAVIVA client.
